1995 - Two security guards saved Jimmy Page from being stabbed.  The “fan” jumped up on the stage wanting to kill him because of the satanic music he played.

1995 - Selena, Latin superstar, is shot and killer by her former personal assistant.

2001 - Whitney Houston and husband Bobby Brown were banned for life from Hollywood’s Bel Air hotel for wrecking their hotel room.  The room was so badly damaged that it had to be closed down for five days for repairs.

1980 - Orchestra leader Mantovani died at the age of 74.

1980 - Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ spent its 303rd week on the US album charts beating out Carole King’s ‘Tapestry.’

1985 - Jeanine Deckers, the Singing Nun, died of an overdose of sleeping pills in a suicide pact with a friend at the age of 52.

1973 - Jerry Garcia is busted for speeding on the NJ turnpike but the $15 ticket turns into $2000 when the polic spot pot, cocaine and LSD in his car.  He spends three hours in jail.
