1937 - Frank Ifield: “I Remember You”

1939 - Grack Slick of Jefferson Airplane is born on this day.

1939 - Otis Williams of  the Temptations is born.

1945 - Henry Winkler (’The Fonz’) is born today.

1947 - Timothy B Schmitt of Poco and the Eagles is born on this day.

1949 - David Green of  Air Supply is born today.

1960 - Joey Belladonna of Anthrax is born.

1960 - Elvis Presley records “Surrender” and and “Crying in the Chapel” (not released for 5 years).

1967 - Gavin Rossdale of Bush is born on this day.

1967 - Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and for allowing his flat to be used for the smoking of the drug.

1970 - Jim Morrison of the Doors was fined and sentenced to six months in jail for exposing himself on stage at a gig in Miami.
